As you can see in your pitures there actually was thick cushioning which completely wrapped the platter. The thin styrofoam was added at the top of the box were you would open the box. I'm also disturbed by how the platter was presented as damaged. This could not have been how it was received because it doesn't show the entire platter. When packaging was completed, the item was unable to move inside and was completely cushioned all around. Please contact

The vendor, in my interactions with her, is a very kind individual, who will keep the buyer apprised in the event that there are any delays or, as it was in my case, changes in shipment. In my case, it was a change from USPS to FedEx.
