Use your new controllers on old hardware
This is a fantastic device. Brook is a fairly new company that has been making great controller adapters the last few years. This adapter is unique in that it's forward compatible; meaning you can use a Dual Shock 3 or Dual Shock 4 on a PlayStation 2 console. Most adapters only let you use old controllers on newer hardware.
Setting it up is a breeze. Plug it into the console while powered off, along with the mini or micro USB plugged into your controller. There is a small button on the adapter you push to sync up the controller, and once that's done, you can disconnect the cable and play wirelessly. It works flawlessly with no detectable lag. Response time is spot on, and the analog stick sensitivity is perfect. It felt even better than my Logitech wireless PS2 controllers. You can finally play your PS2 wirelessly with true first party Sony hardware! Another cool thing is that you can Daisy chain this adapter to one of the PS2 to PS3 adapters to use your Dual Shock 4 (wirelessly) on your PS3, and it also works with the PS2 to Xbox 360 adapters, so you can use a Dual Shock 3/4 on your Xbox 360! Even Daisy chained, there was no lag I could detect at all. And even the Home button functioned as it should. This adapter is well worth the money, and a terrific solution for wireless PS2 play, if you want to use real Sony controllers.
