Inspiring Family- Oriented Movie~~Highly Recommended
Enjoyable to see an inspiring story, based on truth, and easily viewable by family members of any age. Greatly appreciate it containing NO PROFANITY or taking of GOD's name in vain. Recommend this movie to everyone. The story relates that many grow up in our society under tough circumstances, but still can rise above them and succeed, with moral support and encouragement.

McFarland rocks
This movie should be shown in all high schools . As Americans we have no idea how spoiled we are . We take many things for granted. This movie will make you appreciate those finer qualities. Above all it emphasizes the importance of work ethics , respect of ones elders, and the true meaning of the latino family.

Beautiful movie.
Great movie, very captivating, need a box of tissues it's very moving. Also very educational in how a community becomes your extended family.

5 stars !
This movie was so inspiring ! Kevin Costner does some excellent acting as coach White. This film is not only entertaining, but informative, and as a biography, it reaches way above the lower rating it received by whomever gives the stars. We all loved it and the miraculous twist that takes place in the lives of all the characters. Worth watching again and again !

Wonderful movie. Appeals to family & sports audiences as well as runners.
Wonderful movie. Especially great to show your kids if you coach cross country! (The kids parents watched, too, and some got emotional!). Kept the attention of 10 7th-8th graders for two hours.

Great family movie! Buy it and see it together!
This is such a good movie...............very appropriate for today and the prejudices we all hold. Good acting and good photography and it is mostly true, or based on a true account with some Hollywood changes. Worth your time and money!

Must-see movie!
This is a "must-see" family movie for everyone, especially those interested in running/coaching cross-country teens. We just saw it twice & want to view it again! The plot was riveting, and the characters were developed and interesting. To know that this is based on a true story, that McFarlland, TX exists, & that the original teens all went to college, most now coach at schools, and all of them come back annually to run/encourage/help coach the new kids is flat out amazing.

"Coming Up And Above The Struggles Of Life"
McFarland warms the heart and makes you remember that you can accomplish anything if you want it bad enough and work hard enough. To come up from behind what others may view you to be and making them remember who you are! Kevin Costner is only one of the many actors that makes this movie great! Great family time to watch this movie together.

For me, one of Disney's best
It is now one of my top ten favorite movies! What impressed me the most is that it even though it touched upon some of the harder facts of life, it was presented in such a positive, constructive and inspiring flow of a Disney paint brush. This is one of those movies I would watch more then once.
