A water pressure regulator.....
This water pressure regulator does exactly as its description states. It regulates the water pressure for the water pipes coming into my house , ie - it is set to predetermined standard of about 45psi and it uniformly maintains that pressure. However I will note that this act of regulation does not include such things as...say.....requiring that you ask for government permission or passing a FBI background check before you buy water. It does not grant the government the power to prohibit you from owning different types of water they may deem dangerous. It does not provide for government restrictions on how much water you are allowed to possess. It does not allow for a government to impose a waiting period after you buy some water before you are allowed to gain possession of it . And it does not establish the authority for a government to confiscate water from you should they (or a misguided neighbor) fear that your ownership of water is dangerous to the public's safety. It just regulates the water pressure....that is all it does. Because after all a well established classic definition of the word REGULATE is to " 2 : to bring order, method, or uniformity to" and /or " 3 : to fix or adjust the time, amount, degree, or rate of "

Watts 3/4 50psi Water Pressure Reducing Valve
I haven't installed the valve yet but it is exactly like the one in use now except brand new. I was able to adjust the one currently in use to a lower pressure but glad to have this one as a spare.

Pressure Reducer
What do you say about a pressure reducer? It works? One does not play with a pressure reducer...you put it on the pipe and forget about it. It sure looked pretty, but I bet an ugly one would work just a good.

Identical Replacement
It works as advertised. I bought it to replace the exact model that had lasted about 8 years. I had to replace it because it would not hold pressure due to an internal leak allowing city line pressure to reach my house piping. A comment on quality cannot be made now because time can be the only judge. If it lasts 10 years, I'll be happy. If it fails next year I will not be happy.

great for irrigation and drip systems
I use it in conjunction with the orbit battery powered 1 in. irrigation timer valve. The 50 psi preset that comes from the factory is perfect.

Good purchase!
It fit exactly to replace broken regulator no change in pipes or connections! The price was good and was not available in this region for that price or model!

Whole water pressure regulator
Works great. Direct replacement for previous failed regulator. 5 minute replacement. Wish both sides had unions - it would be even easier to change!
