Product Information

Gamers form a party and set off to rescue the kidnapped religious leader Agnès Oblige in Bravely Second: End Layer. The first sequel to Bravely Default, End Layer finds players traveling around the world of Luxendarc, exploring dungeons, and engaging in turn-based battles. Each character has a set of Brave Points during combat, and gamers can use the Default command to shield themselves and bank points, the Brave command to do extra damage by moving up to four times in one turn, or the Bravely Second command to freeze time and attack foes, though doing so depletes the SP gauge. Players can customize their party's jobs, abilities, weapons, and special moves, and Bravely Second lets gamers summon friends to help in battles via StreetPass or Internet connection. StreetPass users can also help rebuild the character Magnolia's home on the moon and fend off attacks from powerful enemies called Ba'als. And if players want to earn some extra in-game cash they can take on a mini-game where they craft and sell plush toys.

An epic game full of adventure, and fun characters!
Bravely Second: End Layer is an RPG full of quests, bosses, and things to do. I've played this game for over 76 hours and I still haven't completed the game once! if you love battling enemies to level up and gain new abilities then this is the game for you! it has an amazing story where the characters actually talk and they have a pretty epic cgi scene at the end of each chapter! (don't worry the game is fully open world so don't feel like each chapter is the end!) also if you really like the cutscenes then you can play them over from the guide book menu!! in summery lots of fun, lots to do, and full of character quests, stories / talking, and did I mention battles? TL;DR, flawed, but still a goodie
I really enjoyed the game, personally. The story did feel like filler in comparison, albeit engaging none the less. Ending left me disappointed though, I suppose. They tried, but it just didn't feel like a satisfying closure of a game to me. The build up to ending definitely was bigger than the actual ending in my opinion. But that said, if you enjoyed the characters from Bravely Default, this game is a fun direct sequel for that alone. It does feel like an OVA, a movie, or just a filler episode writing style wise, character development wise even on old, established protags, etc. But it's fun, gave me a good laugh countless times, and all the extra dialogue pushed me to keep completing the bestiary out of sheer curiosity, etc. There's a lot of charm and personality, and it's just very ... I really enjoyed the game, personally. The story did feel like filler in comparison, albeit engaging none the less. Ending left me disappointed though, I suppose. There were some parts that gave me feels too. It did, though, try a bit too hard to be edgy and depressing at times, but it's not on an annoying level at least. The battle system had some upped overhauls which I find neat, in general UI and feature improvements here and there, and albeit relatively small changes, they contributed to the experience. Only biggest flaw in my book aside of the ending, is the music. In comparison to Revos work on Default, Ryo's soundtrack is a 3/10. Aside of like, 3 or so tracks from the newly composed ones that I did like, it's all obnoxious, forgettable, generic, and a big disappointment from every angle. Special Attack themes, and all battle themes spare for the Kaiser battle theme ( it's my favorite ), are the biggest offender on this. The game constantly bringing back Revos music felt like a blessing.

Best in the series. In my top 5 favorites for sure.
I played the game for about 5 hours and knew it was the best in the series and my favorite. It takes the best elements of Bravely Default and some from bravely Default II to make an incredibly enjoyable rpg experience. You could play it without playing the first game, there is plenty of exposition to get you up to speed, though it would be best to play both. Great game!

Really fun JRPG. Excellent sequel to Bravely Default.
Excellent game! Definitely more than 60 hours of gameplay. If you liked the original Bravely Default this is very similar in gameplay but with slight improvements. New job classes and some of the old ones, too.

A Must Play Sequel
The orginal Bravely Default game was great and this Bravely Second sequel game has only added to what was enjoyable about the first game. So if your a fan of the series you should really consider playing this next installment and continuation of the great story started in the first one.
