A GREAT BLU RAY OF ONE OF THE BEST DISASTER FILMS OF THE 1970'S!
GROWING UP AS A KID I ENJOYED DISASTER MOVIES. THE TOWERING INFERNO WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FILMS. THE MAIN REASON WAS THE DIRECTOR, IRWIN ALLEN. HE COULD GET A CAST OF HOLLYWOOD SUPERSTARS TOGETHER LIKE NO OTHER DIRECTOR. I HAD THE DVD AND WHEN I SAW THE CHANCE TO GET THE BLU RAY I GOT IT. THE PICTURE IS SO SHARP AND THE COLORS LOOK AMAZING! BUT THE SOUND IS REALLY AMAZING. THE FILM NEVER LOOKED OR SOUNDED SO GREAT. IT'S A TREAT TO SEE PAUL NEWMAN AND STEVE MCQUEEN IN THE SAME FILM. ALSO, FRED ASTAIRE AND FAYE DUNAWAY ARE GREAT. THERE'S EVEN A BRADY IN THE CAST. ACTOR MIKE LOOKINLAND, WHO PLAYED BOBBY BRADY, IS GREAT IN HIS CAMEO ROLE. THE SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE THE BEST FOR A FILM FROM THE 1970'S. IT WILL HOLD YOUR ATTENTION TO THE LAST EXCITING MOMENT. IF YOU GET THIS BLU RAY YOU WILL RELIVE THE BEST OF THE DISASTER FILMS.

Brings back memories!
Saturday afternoon movies with my siblings! I know movies are more sophisticated and advanced graphics, better acting... but the fear and the adrenaline that this movie produces in you keeps this movie able to hold its own. TV definitely isn’t what it use to be and I doubt you’ll find this on cable... glad to own it!

Greatly entertaining
Amazing collection of top rated actors and actresses in one exciting movie. This is definitely a classic disaster movie even without all the modern digital production. It combines happy and sad moments.

Classic Blockbuster
...After all these years this Classic Blockbuster looks better than ever in the new Blu-ray release. Legends Newman and McQueen are in top form. Action packed, tense star studded thriller. Recommended.

Awesome disaster movie
This is a real good action adventure film and the story and actors are good as well. And the New film Skyscraper with Dwayne Johnson is similar to this movie :-) which I have yet to see lol

It's a classic
One of the first disaster movies. Cast of all stars; Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Faye Dunaway...how can you go wrong.

Great Blu-ray transfer.
I had already liked this movie from seeing it on cable TV. I bought the Blu-ray because I would appreciate the Blu-ray picture quality.
