Not just a prequel
This is an amazing movie that stands alone, even for someone who has never seen a Harry Potter film. I happen to be a real fan from way back, so it was a real treat to get back into J K Rowling's magic world. The 3d was outstanding and not contrived. The story was exciting and at times very humorous, and the acting superb. Another feature that I really enjoyed was the bonus material on the Blu Ray disc. I was amazed and thrilled at how much effort was put onto this movie, especially the fact that they actually built a 1926 version of New York in England, and the details that went into every set, and costume. I loved the creatures and how believable they were. A very entertaining movie, that left me anxious for the next installment to be released.A very well put together DVD set. I'm so thankful to those who assembled it. I would highly recommend it.

If you love anything Potter, You'll LOVE this.
We have watched our DVD/BluRay so often I'm surprised we didn't wear them out! We bought this 3D version because we saw it in 3D when it first came to theaters in 2016, and since both our family room and bedroom are 3D and 4k, we bought both versions. This movie (especially in 3D or 4K are a MUST SEE! FANTASTIC story, loveable, endearing characters you will fall in love with from the get go! Not to mention the loveable, imaginative Beasts brought to life by Me Rowling! This movie has everything you could ask for in great entertainment, great acting, characters and AMAZING storylines! For anyone wanting good, clean entertainment, this will not disappoint, for a "Potterhead", anyone who loves JK Rowling, this is definitely a MUST BUY!! YOMou definite won't regret it!!

Entertaining fun
Creative world of fantasy! Fun to re-watch. Separated time-line from the other Harry Potter events, but still engages and entertains as it stands beside them. Hope to see more spin-offs in this genre...

The main character is a bit overboard
The movie has a good storyline and progresses with a good flow. I enjoyed the movie, but for my personal opinion, I did not think Eddie Redmayne was the right actor for this part. But that is my opinion. Anyway, the movie is pretty good and has lots of good twist and turns. My 4 stars was based on the actor, Eddie Redmayne being a little bit too weird at times. Sort of turned me off.

Excellent Movie!
This movie Fantastic Beasts just rocks! I believe it has more magic in it, then any of the Harry Potters had. They really did a nice job! Totally worth buying!!!

Good 3d and movie is well told story
Good movie, 3d effects were good , but haven't read the book so I don't know how it relates to it. Great imagination.

We bought this in 3D for our 3D projector. The 3D on this was very good (all are not ) We enjoyed the story line and the Graphics were Outstanding!!

3D effects very good, entertaining.
If you are Harry Potter fan, you'll enjoy Fantastic Beasts. The 3D Bluray version adds another dimension, and a big plus, to the movie.

The 3D is amazing in this movie
fantastic beasts and where to find them is such a great movie & The 3D is amazing in this movie. I wish they would convert all the Harry Potter movies to 3D. Only the last 2 Harry’s were released in 3D. This movie in my opinion is just as good as The Harry Potter Movies. I can’t wait for the sequel to fantastic beasts and where to find them called (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) due to be released November 16, 2018. I highly recommend owning this movie especially in 3D

A Great movie
It was a very entertaining mover with great special effects. Adults and children alike will thoroughly enjoy this movie.
