Picking up where the original series left off, the sequel opens sometime after the eccentric billionaire Sandman and his Earthgertz team of metrosexual pilots, scantily clad maids, and the giant, gravity-powered robot Gravion have successfully fended off an invasion by the Zeravire aliens. When the same invaders return to Earth to attempt another conquest, Sandman's team springs into action only to encounter a rival group of defenders known as the G-Soldier Squadron--an elite force whose own fighting robot, the Grand Trooper, just might put the Gravion gang out of business.
