Freezing up
This unit has froze up on me several times. Keeps falling off the windshield. It's ok but when I can't tolerate it any more I will replace it with another brand. BTW I have two of these and both have the same issues.

Cobra Dash Cam Is The Perfect Driving Aid
Excellent 1080p wide angle video. I definately recomend the Cobra Dash Cam. Just be careful with the micro SD card as it's very small and a little cumbersome to load and extract. One flew out and went into the defroster vent. I'm glad I bought some extras. You just have to be careful with them. If you purchase an extra, I would advise a 32GB. I wired mine to stay on all the time unless I manually turn it off and I mounted it almost completely behind the rearview mirror where it's not too noticeable. This way if you're in a store shopping or staying at a motel you might have a chance of recording someone messing with your vehicle. If you direct wire your dash cam it's okay to leave it on overnight once in awhile but when you garage your vehicle make sure you turn it completely off so you don't forget about it and end up with a dead battery. I don't think it draws too many Amps but I still wouldn't trust leaving on more than a day or two. Direct wire is not necessary, it's just a matter of personal preference. One more thing I'd like to mention. The suction cup holds up really good when attached to the windshield. My other dash cam kept falling off in about a week. Very annoying. I mounted this one over a month ago and it's still holding solid.

SIMPLE TO SET UP. HARD TO READ INSTRUCTIONS ( small printing). good pic's. it seems to run very warm to the touch. I like it.....

Cobra CDR 840 HD Dashcam with GPS Logger
Great car Dash Cam Recorder. I wish the Power Connector Tip was 90 degree. Otherwise that Straight Tip becomes a problem after a year use. It weakened device receptacle and the unit became dysfunctional, turning On and Off, hitting a bump every time.

Great value
The Cobra dash-cam is a great product. It works with almost no set up needed. The quality of picture is wonderful in both day/night mode specially when connected to my laptop.

1080p camera with GPS
I own three vehicles all three of my vehicles have one of these cameras in it it's a good camera and it records your driving so when someone else is driving bad You have a record of it if they smash into you

Great product.
