As a book reader, the Nook version 1 is very much obsolete. It's even difficult to find batteries for it.
But as part of a prepper's secret stash, with a small solar panel and USB plug, buried in a metal garbage can and safe from EMP, it can store an entire library of information that can easily be hidden from raiders.
It's what I expected. It works great, I can read pdf, epub, mobi files. But the only thing I'm struggling with is that Win 10 does not recognize the device. So the only way to pass eBooks with copy them to a microSD memory.
