A Great Collection Of Some Of The Best, 1950s, TV Episodes Ever
"Alfred Hitchcock Presents" is a superior TV series. It has very good stories and is well acted by a large group of familiar (to me) 1950s actors. The 30 minute episodes are mainly crime-suspense melodramas with a little TWILIGHT ZONE thrown in for good measure. I enjoy them all and I recommend this to everyone who loves serious drama. This, season one, collection is a very good value as there are over 30 episodes to enjoy. Hitchcock The Great
As always, Hitchcock delivers intriguing storylines with twists, great cinematography, and fine acting in this collection. If you are a fan, this dvd set is super. I am on my way to collecting all of the seasons in this series and the number of episodes in each set is a bargain, as long as you don't pay some crazy high price that some sellers are trying to get for it. Staying Up Late With HITCH.....All Over Again and Again.......
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, late nights and ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS seemed to be a winner when I was a kid. Couldn't wait long enough to see who did what to whom and why....and how the bad guy or gal got their just reward in the bitter, but somehow hilarious end. Season One is the definitive Hitchcock, with some truly bizarre stories punctuated with some fine performances by a host of great actors. Alfred Hitchcock Presents Review
These shows are in the typical format of Alfred Hitchcock. Interesting story line and solid acting make these shows fun to watch. Alfred Hitchcock is the host of these shows and does not direct many of them. Not sure what percentage he actually directs, but you would never know it just by watch the shows. Brilliant playlets!
Alfred Hitchcock was an acknowledged genius of a film maker, but many younger audiences probably don't know about his work on television in the 1950s. This collection of half hour, weekly dramas from "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" are first-rate entertainment. The master at work in bite-sized pieces.
