    Family Movie!

    It's self-explanatory! It's a virtual vs reality kind of life. The only thing is that people world-wide depend on them both! The protagonist is a young and average guy who turns out not so ordinary because he has potential of a mathematician who was then introduced to a whole new life by a close friend. From there, he gets to meet people who are lively and are families that live together in the same house! They eat together, share their stories together, and even watch TV together! You are about to see how crazy family can be and get a little family lesson. It's about family with a little fun, yet it also have some twisted unexpected terms if you're ready to cooperate in the system! You'll have to watch it for yourself and perhaps with loved ones, too. Enjoy!

    Insightful and relevant

    A movie that has a lot to say about people, the world, and technology - family relations, social interaction and responsibility - while presenting us with a level of creativity, actual, visual and conceptual that few movies show. Story, characters, and narrative drive along, keeping human interaction and technology recognizable and relevant. One of the most creative animés available. I'd also recommend "Tekkon Kinkreet" and 'Paprika". See them all.

    Summer Wars is solid, feel-good film. explosive climax

    I watched this anime movie years ago and was pleasantly surprised with this original product. Basically about a Japanese nerd spending the summer with his family and the apocalyptic events taking place via an online video game; I was shocked at how pleasant and simmering with energy this title was. You kinda get the impression that something interesting or exciting could break out at anytime. I was engaged throughout and the climax of the film is truly explosive. Of course, its cast of more down-to-earth, somewhat quirky, and likeable characters helps with this. It's what makes the climax of the film feel so impactful. My only complaint when I watched was that I felt the end was almost too effective at tying up loose ends. It seems like all the major conflicts are tied up in a ...

    Amazing movie

    A truly great anime feature with strong characters of all ages and genders, a great plot and a real sense of what a large family feels like. It's a film that I intend to watch several more times, so I'm totally glad to have bought the DVD/Blu-Ray combo. I don't give 5 stars lightly: this is an exception.
