Bore guide with savage rascal (22lr) and savage T111 compact (.223)
Both are bolt rifles. Tube does not fit into savage rascal. It works great for the savage T111. I cut the tube down (tube cutter) so I do not have to watch the rod tip rubbing the barrel end. It makes cleaning go faster and easier to insert the pointed push jab into the barrel (bolt side). It also keep the cleaning solutions out of the breach. Will get another for other bolt rifle.

This is a very good bore guide.
My friend has one to those top of the line bore guides and I was leary when buying this one. But after getting it and using it, I am very pleased with the quality. I like that there are different size tips and a brass screw that locks down the unit. The great part is my friend spent a lot more than me.

The bore guide works as described, however it has to be held in places when used..does not fit snugly in the chamber.. small problem based on the price

Only for larger caliber
Fits larger caliber rifles.tube to large for 22lr action.must cut 1.5 inches back length ways.half moon to clear ejector pin or cut groove 1/8 in. wide down tube

It works like it should.
It works good and it is made well. You need to have a long cleaning rod if you have a 24" barrel. A 36" rod don't push out the patch all the way. Nothing to do with the unit though.

A must for every cleaning kit
Every Cleaning Kit Needs One Of These. This product keeps your cleaning rod from touching the inside of the barrel and possibly doing damage to your Lands and Groves in the barrel which will effect the accuracy of the rifle. I use this on all of my rifles. B.Marr
