Pricey but worth having in your tool box
Already have the original version of the Trend Pocket Hole Jig but was limited in its design to using with smaller sizes (thickness) of wood stock - this newer version allows the use of thicker materials so hopefully will justify itself over time. The jig, like the predecessor is of a simple construction, but is very well made - but being a “simple” design it makes you wonder why the cost is so high. Being a previous Trend owner I favoured this over the Kreg units which are also way overpriced so perhaps Trend is thinking if we charge more, people will think its as good as a Kreg - well, Ive got news for Trend, this unit is already better than the K4 or K5, and does NOT need to compete on price. Another aspect, over its predecessor, is that it dismantles to allow it to be used on frames that are already built up, like tables etc and allow you to add extra pocket holes if the piece needs repairing for any reason Definitely worth having one in your tool box

Good solid build quality the screws are a bit on the expensive side but the jig itself is brilliant it’s just a shame there isn’t a bench cramp to go with it
