Outshines the Original, Worth Viewing and Re-Watching
This is by far the best of Disney's live-action retellings of its classic cartoon hits. (Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin don't suck, but unlike those, this is much BETTER than the original. The rest are write-offs, IMHO.) Kate Blanchett nails the wicked stepmother role, with the fun advantage of watching her "stage-mother" her daughters at the ball. "Remember to smile, girls!". Helena Bonham Carter brings a fun edge to the Fairy Godmother character. Nonso Anozie makes the movie better just by grunting in the background and shooting sidelong glances at the prince. Most of the other characters are competently performed, but Lily James (late of Downton Abbey) SHINES throughout. Thankfully, the role of the mice is is mostly downplayed. (30-odd years ago, when we took small children to a re-release of the cartoon, I warned my wife that the movie was really all about the mice.) And the movie doesn't really lose anything by losing the outdated musical numbers. All told, worth owning and viewing multiple times.

even more glorious than the 1949 animated classic!
spectacular!... eye popping!.... visually stunning!... breathtaking!.... all true, yet all fail to adequately describe the opulence and pageantry brought to this extraordinary live action re-telling of cinderella. colors are rich, deep, vibrant. intricately detailed costumes and jewelry, worn by both main characters and extras, are marvelous to behold. sumptuous gilded palace walls glint and gleam beneath the multitude of dazzling cut crystal chandeliers. the pumpkin is transformed into a stunning gold and crystal carriage, complete with 4 white horses, 2 lizard footmen and a goosy driver - and is, in a word, spectacular. and then, there's that dress... that magnificent bit of magical chiffon and moonbeams that floats and sweeps across the marble floor of a castle ballroom so lavish that the fabled palace of versaille must humbly blush and bow. the charming score and the editing are as sparkling and imaginative as the movie itself. for 90 minutes, at least, we can shed the day's burdens, and leave the troubled world beyond the outer door. we can surrender to this wonderful make-believe land of color, of life, and of indefatigable Hope. relinquish your grip on daily drudgery and let your spirit soar! Bibbidi - bobbidi - boo!

Incredible Disney Movie
This movie was SO GOOD. I can't believe how well Disney retold the cartoon from my childhood. The antagonists were totally unlikable with their selfishness and cruelty. Cinderella was so likable and such a great heroine. I'd recommend this movie for anyone. It brings back lots of good childhood memories for us baby boomers and should make many more for the current generations. BUY THIS MOVIE and enjoy it.

great film
this is an instant classic! The very best film Disney has made in years. If you like the classic Cinderella you will love this film. The photography is beautiful, the music is excellent and the acting is top notch. Lilly James is perfect as Cinderella.

Love this movie
Perfect for all ages, this retelling of the classic Disney tale has something for everyone. The back stories of the "evil" stepmother and the Prince are just lovely. The cast is first rate and the special effects are, well, magical!

Best Movie Disney ever made
It is about time Disney made a movie that is about real people and situations, making real decisions that have consequences. No skinny supermodels primping around unrealistic clothes or makeup. I have watched this more than I ever expected I would and can't wait to see it again!

Great Movie
This is the first blue ray movie I have ever purchased. I love the distinct resolution improvement over a regular DVD. This movie totally captivated me. It's the best version of Cinderella I have ever seen. I want to cherish this movie for years to come. :-)

CINDERELLA Is a classic tale
Actors, funny, romantic, Animals and animation very entertaining! Disney movie always a joy to watch. Loved it!!!! Great fun for all ages.

Best Cinderella EVER!!
Great Movie and the Best Cinderella ever!! I love how the characters actually have a dialogue. In the old animation, there was no real dialogue between Cinderella and the stepmother. This is well written and made. Prince in the story is very charming and the character build up is great. Best acting.

Beautiful Story for the Family
My children love this story, and my wife and I also love it too. It teaches good values and gives hope to people. The blue ray dvd came in excellent condition and we will watch it over and over again through the coming months and years. Thank you.
