A source of inspiration for my novels.
Loreena McKennitt's music has served me for years as a source of inspiration in the writing of two of my novels over a fifteen year period, providing for me a musive effect toward giving me also a certain charmed ambience of my intellect. I picked certain selections as prospective background music for various sections of my novels and which tunes I hope will some day serve as thematically relevant mood music for what I dream will become motion picture versions of my novels. Anyway, if anything, Loreena's music serves as melodies for dreaming.

An accomplished Storyteller
l Loreena McKennitt is an accomplished teller of tales of loves lost in ancient lands. Her soul is Celtic, mystical and ancient. This is reflected in her melodies and choice of subjects. " The Highwayman" on this CD is Brilliant. Using Alfred Lord Tennysons " Lady of Shalott" as lyrics for her song of the same name is again evidence of her reverence for the classic past of history as well as legend. This tune appears in " The Visit " which is another CD you must purchase if you found " The Book of Secrets" to your liking.

Dreamy trip into other times and cultures
Lovely music and such talented musicians. Some songs seem a little repetitious, but in general I really like the album and LOVE the song "Mummers Dance". As a life-long singer, I can truly say that her voice is absolutely sublime.

Beautiful, Peaceful, Spiritual
I feel like I've heard this music all my life and never realized it was Celtic music. I love her voice. I can fall asleep to her voice, so peaceful. Enjoy
