Like the original B-17 Flying Fortress, B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th offers gamers a sophisticated flight sim with a strong emphasis on realism and historical accuracy. Players join an elite WWII squadron based upon the United States Army Air Corp 8th Bomber Command, which was the division responsible for many dangerous daylight bombing runs deep into enemy territory to knock out important enemy production centers and supply lines. Players will see action from all perspectives in this game, playing ten different crew positions that existed on the actual planes. Players will take on the role of the pilot, the co-pilot, the navigator, the radio operator the bombardier, and several gunner positions in different missions. Remote targets and enemy resistance will call for efficient teamwork to complete mission goals. B-17 Flying Fortress: The Might 8th is displayed in full 3D and features authentic, highly detailed planes, interiors and cockpits.

    Solid seller of used media (CDs etc.); Great Price, though i knew it would be shipped via (higher breakage risk) envelope 1st class, & arrive without a hard, plastic Case. Turns out (most likely caused by my local PO), it arrived on time but Broken in two. Seller was fast to work with me & we decided best would be full Refund (vs. sending a 2nd same CD). Would buy from him again, though will try to stick with used music CDs that are shipped WITH the Hard Case via Media Mail.

    Good seller. Item was shipped via untrackable means and never arrived, but when I notified the seller he responded immediately and said he had another copy of the cd and shipped it out right away and I received it in a few days. CD was as advertised and plays perfectly. Good seller and good CD.

    Great classic game

    Excellent gameplay. Graphics are somewhat dated, but were outstanding back when this game was released. Still a great gaming experience. Interaction with the crew of a B-17 in flight on historic bombing missions during World War II. Player can man various positions within the airplane as bomber or gunner to drop bombs on target or fend off enemy aircraft attacking the bomber formations. Player can change into various fighter aircraft as German or American pilots. User manual helps to guide the player step by step in easy to read content. Love the game - very unique - don't think there's ever been another game similar to this. Glad I found this game again - had it several years ago. Highly recommend.

    Very Accurate Simulation!

    This is a very in-depth simulation of the bombing missions in europe during WW2. It's very accurate, and the graphics are remarkable.
