    Great cost / performance tradeoff

    It is slightly longer to setup than some of the more higher priced options (Gitzo), since the leg locking mechanism is manual and not spring loaded. But that's well worth the price difference. I'm very happy with this, and it's so great that I'm considering getting one of the smaller backpacker or daytrip for an even smaller setup when needed.

    Major Bang for Your Buck and it looks great too.

    Outstanding tripod in all catagories such as stability, weight bearing, min max height, versatility (can become a monopod), speed of operation, and ball control. Major bang for your buck and it looks great. I have the titanium color and couldn't be happier.

    Happy with my purchase

    I was looking for a lightweight but stable and well built tripod for a long campervan trip around Europe and chose the Mefoto after a fair amount of research. I was expecting it to be a little lighter than it is but it looks so well built and designed that I am really happy with it. The monopod that can be detached from the tripod works really well, the tripod goes higher than the super lightweight travel models. Very nice unit and a pleasure to use so far.

    over achiever

    The build quality is so much more than I anticipated. It's capabilities are limitless to me. The feel of the tripod and how everything moves gives me such a sense of confidence that no matter what situation I ask of it, it will perform flawlessly. It's engineering, construction, and quality of components allow me to use it in any odd terrain and go high or low knowing that IT WILL NOT FAIL. Steve Dostie

    Great Lightweight Tripod

    Very impressed with the size and portability.I feel I am sacrificing very little in way of stability or durability. The photo head it comes with is alright; I'll probably use it as a backup alternative. I'll mainly be using this with an MVH500AH head and a panasonic GH4. I had been worried about the head being to bulky for this travel tripod, but because of the GH4's light weight, I have not had any trouble with stability. So smooth. It would be nice if there was a third lock mode for the legs, but this is ndb. I really appreciate the twist leg locks.
