Plenty of power- good price
This pole saw has plenty of power for cordless. When all the extensions are screwed together it becomes flexible. Difficult to control when you cut through the limb. Using it on a ladder you will need to be very careful, it almost brought me down. This saw was worth the price.

High quality-easy to use
I bought this as I already had a fan with 2 batteries and my friend recommended electric over a gas powered saw. I am maintaining a household lot of half an acre with many old trees. I will probably need to trim trees yearly so I wanted a long lasting tool. It works well and the large battery seems to outlast me.

Definitely saves getting scratched/cut trimming limbs
I've had good success with the Ryobi 18v products over the years. With my windbreak trees growing over last 20 years it was time to do some limbing and fire prevention. I'd used a handsaw on a number of the lower limbs of pines; but after quite a few scratches and cuts figured I needed a pole saw. I also have an older Ryobi 18v chainsaw and have been impressed by it's cutting ability so the Ryobi pole saw made sense. The 9.5 reach works well for keeping me away from the branches and is really what I needed for trimming the lower branches of red cedars without getting badly scratched. Definitely the right tool for my job.

Lightweight and great features, easy to handle in difficult situations
This is my second polesaw made by Ryobi. I like it a lot and it does s great job for me. Excellent value for the homeowner, but purchase a second battery and you will be happy.

Best alternative to not having a ladder
Works AMAZINGLY with all of my other Ryobi products I’ve been wanting this for soooooo long and finally got an amazing deal on one! Works perfect with any 18V battery of you don’t have a legit Ryobi branded one.

good quality/good value
Good quality like most Ryobi tools. The chain remains secure with no jumping. I have used it mostly without the extension and it works very well and is very stable. With the extension, it is heavier and, as an older guy, it tires one out faster. However after about a dozen uses, this pole saw works very well.

I'm loving it
I'm turning 69 this year and the Ryobi 18v pole saw allows me to do many projects around the farm. It really saves my back cutting sprouts close to the ground without bending over. Battery always lasts longer than I do! It has put a lot of limbs/brush on the ground in the couple of weeks I've had it, now I need a young person to pile them up and burn it :)

Great trim tool.
This is a very useful tool for a homeowner having a few trees that need periodic pruining. It is reasonably lite weight, has a long reach, and cuts fairly quickly.

worked well after problems were fixed.
I had 2 problems with the saw. First, it needs more weight on the battery end to balance out the weight of the saw. Second, was a missing c-clip that holds the drive gear on. frustrating until I figured that out. using the saw without the extention and with the c-clip installed made quick work of the lower branches.
