Very interesting series.
This is a very well made series, unfortunately this copy has a fault on the Saffron Walden track near the end which seizes up the three players I have tried to play it on, the disc has a rainbow effect to the surface on one side close to the edge, as the disc was sealed in original packaging I must assume this to be a manufacturing fault.

Civilized, Refreshing, Informative
In his charming "old school" manner, Sir Alec Clifton-Taylor informs us of historical, geographical, and architectural details of the towns which we visit,.He memorably "puts them on the map" for me, as he argues why we should treasure and preserve them. The calm presentation, unhurried filming, and great English baroque music make this a refreshing and civilized series.

Its great ,a five star anytime
it is a true guide addresses the poor work done today and the great work of yesterday ,and how it should be done ,alec clifton taylor is brillant in his comments ,it is very entertaining and great value ,a must for anyone into old buildings .
