After letting it take shape on my mattress, tried securing it with the wide elastic straps which they didn't want to stay in-place on my mattress (the reason for the 4-stars on the description/shown in the picture). I used my regular protective mattress cover to keep it in-place, which I was going to use it anyway to keep the new pad clean while trying it out. The 1" was too thin, great communication with the seller on return.
