One of those books that you feel like you were actually there.
I don't usually read the same book twice but this one I read many years ago and it haunted me and made an impression especially as I am also a pilot. Godd reading.

Fascinating but very disturbing
A very good book about the Vietnam War. As it says inside, not one for weak stomachs - possibly the most disturbing book I have ever read in some places, but if you can face that I would definitely recommend it.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Should've been a film
Easily my favourite military book but possibly has enough to interest any reader. The horrors of the Vietnam conflict are nothing new, but this is a gripping story with some hilarious anecdotes amongst the intensity of and violence of the first truly helicopter war.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

So good I bought it twice. Lost the first one and after endlessly looking for it decided on the cheaper soft back version. As an ex Naval helicopter engineer it is a compelling read with regard to Roberts experiences on how he flew and things that happened to his aircraft. All paper with great selection of words.
