Gran Turismo 5XL is an upgraded version of 2010s Gran Turismo 5 that adds in a wide range of downloadable content and updates that have been added to the game since its original release. The extras provide players with many more cars, game modes, rewards, and online options, and the game has been patched to fix glitches that have arisen since its launch.<br><br>Sony's fifth entry in its flagship racing series includes over 1,000 licensed cars that, for the first time in the franchise, will show real-time damage based on the point of impact and rate of speed. Other visual enhancements include smoke from tires, sparks from rollovers, and the gradual accumulation of dirt. The vehicle physics engine introduced in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has been replaced with a revamped model to offer more realism. Play modes include the GT Career Mode, Championship Races, Arcade Mode, and License Tests, with a progression system that lets you earn credits to further customize your ride(s).<br><br>The career option features a world map that lets you enter races, visit licensed dealerships, browse various tuning and body shops, and view nearby car washes to return your vehicle to its showroom state. More than 20 tracks are included, each supporting over 70 variations to offer new twists and turns each time you play. Snap photos of your best races from multiple angles and store them in an album, or capture replay footage to share with others on YouTube. Four players can compete via split-screen display, and up to 16 can battle each other online via PlayStation Network. Online features include public and private lobbies as well as text and voice chat. Owners of the PSP version and/or Gran Turismo 5 Prologue can also transfer unlocked vehicles to the PS3 game's garage.

    so this is a followup to this small business only bad review. they fired who didn't send my game in a proper amount of time. They did give me a full refund as well as send my ps3 game which is in immaculate condition. in that spirit I decided to spend my refund at the same store on a different game. it's been sent all the way from New York the next day also in perfect condition.

    Great classic to have for any PS3 owner or car guys.

    Awesome classic, must have for any racing fan or car people! Great selection of car and track with pretty good graphic even for a 10 year old game. Anyone with a PS3 laying around still, should add this game to their collection.

    HOPE YOU HAVE PATIENCE

    Great game but takes a while to download to start playing-This game takes patience as I think it's kind of complicated-Basically make sure you have a lot of time to start playing this-don't expect to just press start and play right away-I'm not complaining for the price I paid-That's just my opinion-

    Not the best racing simulation out there

    While the graphics are good, the look of the cars leaves a lot to be desired. The cars do not look dimensionally proportional...... at times they look to short, sometimes the vehicles height is to low.....while its not a life and death situation, you can never get away from the realization that this is a game simulation, and not that really good at it. And this is just basically an add on to a previously released Gran Tourismo.
