    This is a solid and well constructed pan, does not come with a gasket or new bolts so need to order new gasket when purchasing this pan. I just reused the old bolts, Ram made replacing the transmission pan difficult with the placement of the exhaust crossover pipe but it is possible to replace after removing the transmission mount and jacking it up. I also removed the metal inserts from the OEM pan and installed them on the PPE pan to ease the placement and guide the bolts.

    Well made, Robust unit.

    At first, I did not want to purchase this item for my truck. It weighs 12 pounds and I did not want to add that much weigh. In addition, it holds 2 more quarts of oil than stock, which is even more weight and something that I did not consider necessary. The pan hangs down lower to the ground from the transmission, which is also something that I did not want. However, after searching for options, for a long time, I decided to order the PPE transmission oil pan. It is much heavier than the stock plastic oil pan. It also appears much more stout and more Robust than any of the other transmission oil pans. It does hang down lower, but the engine oil pan in my truck is still lower than the transmission oil pan.     Good

    I think it’s a good product, but there’s one downfall as the way I see it. You would have to order the filter from the guys that make and design the sub that is the only downfall.
