Does what it says, But....
This goes together easily and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Holds the rifle nice and steady. The only draw back is that it is so light, any jerky movements will pull you off target. That would easily be corrected by putting a sand bag in the center to help hold it steady. Thats the only reason I only gave it 4 stars but for the price it does exactly what it's supposed to do and I really can't complain because I knew it didn't weigh hardly anything. The material seems to be of good quality and for a gun that doesn't have a lot of recoil, this works very well and it is very easy to transport. Worth the price
For $26.00 +or- it's what I expected. Though it is light weight, I was not disappointed in it's quality, it is exactly as described. It was handy to install a new set of scope rings as it kept the rifle steady on the table while I worked on mounting the scope. I have set it up on the kitchen table to see what to expect when I take it to the range and I'm satisfied that it will be somewhat better than a sand bag for consistency because of the adjustable front rest. The only improvement would be if the base was cast in one piece, I think it would be a bit more durable, but if handled with a moderate amount of care it should last many many years.For $26.00 +or- it's what I expected. Shooting Sled - Great Value - Light Weight
For what it is, and what I paid for it I couldn't be happier. Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but did put it together and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't do the job. It's lightweight and easy to use. I got it at a great price ($30.36) yet I've seen it cheaper, but the individual I bought it from was in Texas, and I received it within 3 days (Purchased on Friday evening received on Tuesday evening via UPS).For what it is, and what I paid for it I couldn't be happier. Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but did put it together and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't do the job. It's lightweight and easy to use. Caldwell Steady Rest NXT
Once I received my Steady Rest... I unboxed it and proceeded to assemble it which was really simple I imagine my 10 yr. old nephew could put it together... It was that simple. It is made of a really sturdy Plastic and it is adjustable, light weight and very versatile either for a rifle or a hand gun which is Excellent for sighting in a scope or setting up your sights.. plus it great for first time shooter's who haven't ever handled a weapon before... It makes hitting the Target really easy... I would suggest this for any shooter avid or beginner... Excellent product 👍👌 won't mare your weapon's... Just all around Great Product.... Lightweight better as a rifle rack than a Rest
I got this hoping to use it to sight in my pistols better. But it did not go low enough for me to get good support for my hands and the gun. Then it was also to low when benched for the height of my targets. It's not the best made Rest out there but I guess it will work in a pinch. I did not try it with a rifle at all, But it would be OK for something light like a Ruger 10/22 or something in that regards. Would not recommend for a large rifle or a AR style with a large mag. It would be good as a rifle holder if you don't want to lay you rifle down on its side or to make small adjustments to you rifle instead of trying to hold your rifle and work on it if you had to.
