James Blunt Back to Bedlam - Reminds me of Jack Johnson Now throughout MTV, VH1 and even in your local starbucks, James Blunt is getting very big. His hit single is Youre Beautiful - and its a catchy song despite its mellowness. The CD Back to Bedlam is enjoyable and reminiscent of another favorite singer of mine - Jack Johnson. The tracks are mellow and easy, featuring mostly Blunt's lyrics and smooth voice. The only trouble with Back to Bedlam is that the tracks dont much differentiate themselves from one another... in other words, the songs are eerily similar. I bought this CD because I love the song,"Youre Beautiful". It is very rare for me to buy a CD due to one song, but it was a awesome song! After listening to most of the CD, I realized what a good songwriter James is. However then I realized that most of the songs kinda sounded the same, which was my only complaint about this great CD. If youre in a mellow mood or just broken up with someone, or thinking about past someones you broke up with, this is the CD for you. If youre looking for light pop, you will not find it here. All in all, a good CD from an artist I would like to listen to again, but with a little more variety in the songs!I bought this CD because I love the song,"Youre Beautiful". Chockful of downbeat pop songs, but damn they're catchy
As someone who mainly just sells CDs these days without listening to them, on this CD, not only did I listened to all ten tracks, but repeatedly. Of course, I was drawn in by 'You're Beautiful', but the album is brimming with melodies that will stay in your head all day. Blunt's voice is distinctive. All 10 tracks are above average. If I was a subversive sort, I would play 'No Bravery' to all new recruits.As someone who mainly just sells CDs these days without listening to them, on this CD, not only did I listened to all ten tracks, but repeatedly. Of course, I was drawn in by 'You're Beautiful', but the album is brimming with melodies that will stay in your head all day. Blunt's voice is distinctive. All 10 tracks are above average. If I was a subversive sort, I would play 'No Bravery' to all new recruits.

This stunning debut by James Blunt--a British soldier turned musician--will take your breath away; literally! Every single track on this beautiful release is lyrically multidimensional with incredible depth and addictive melodies. It's definitely the best release by a new artist this year hands down. I normally don't buy CDs , and would rather just download, but this was one I made an exception for. In today's day and age of quickly cranked out music by "artists" who don't even write their own music, it's nice to come across someone whose heart,soul, and life experiences, brings a visually vivid picture of the individual to his listeners. Don't be suprised if you start hearing James Blunt popping up on television shows and radio everywhere. His music is accessible, enjoyable, and highly ... Often #1 albums in Britain don't have the same appeal in the US, but if any album can crossover, this one can.

Amazing Album
At first glance one is afraid to purchase this album because of how much play has been placed on "You're Beautiful," but after hearing "Goodbye My Lover," and still enjoying his sound I bought the album. Buying the album was one of my best purchases this year. The songs are genuine, unique and amazing. Each song has its own flow, and none of them blend together like some artists tend to do. If you love music, then you are guaranteed to enjoy at least one song on this album. Of course, many have problems with the high pitch whiney sound of his voice, but those people have only heard his single "You're Beautiful." The other songs are vibrant, upbeat and ready for the masses. I love every single song on the album, and would recommend the album to anyone. It is a trully amazing and ...
