It's not a docking station, so just purchased a USB charge cable lead for £3.19 and takes care of that. Good sound and can be charged through AA batteries (great for taking to beach) or connect to a USB charger, so appreciate that flexibility. There are no directions included, but it's relatively easy to figure out how it works (separate speakers to hold iPod and then enjoy).
