A mains-powered heat alarm, ideal for use in a kitchen or a garage, the Aico EI144RC avoids the nuisance alarms traditional alarms give off. Activated whenever it reaches 58C, it has the capacity to connect to up to twelve others, setting them all off in the event of fire. Easily installed, the Aico has a hush button to quickly deal with nuisance alarms, and a long-lasting alkaline back-up battery.

    General comment

    I haven]t called it amazing or even better than expected because its a good product that does what is says on the packet.to replace an identical unit which has given trouble free service but has reached its safe lifetime. On a general note I must comment on the way these product reviews are conducted. I really don't mind giving realistic comments on items where there might be strong competition and may help someone to choose this or perhaps another. But really this is a basic no choice purchase. I was not excitedly sitting by the front door waiting for the postman to deliver a new toy. Please address. Regards Clive Harris

    AICO Smoke/Heat Alarms - Simply The Best

    Speaking as an electrical contractor who fits lots of smoke and heat alarms, I can't recommend the AICO range highly enough. They are very easy to install, and as far as I'm concerned,the AICO range just cannot be beaten for quality and cost-effectiveness.

    Good quality alarms

    Great quality heat alarm. Always use this make as compatible with earlier models and can use same base 10 years on.

    These products are great!!

    I bought this to replace a standard smoke alarm and it has stopped all false alarms from kitchen related smoke. Easy change-over, which in total took me 2 minutes from getting the unit out of teh box...

    Replacement product of high quality, fits on existing base plate, no need to rewire.

    Exact replacement for existing alarms which are now 10 years old and in need of changing. Fits on old base plate so changing very easy.
