Product Information

"Sleeping Beauty" is based on a fairy tale written by Charles Perrault. The primary character of the film is Aurora, also called Briar Rose, who is Sleeping Beauty. On her sixteenth birthday, Aurora falls asleep due to a witch's curse and can only be awakened by her true love, Prince Philip. Before Phillip can rescue her, he must defeat the evil witch, Maleficent. "Sleeping Beauty" covers the events as Prince Phillip battles the evil witch in his attempts to awaken and rescue Sleeping Beauty. This two-disc set includes the original movie that was released in 1959. The fairy tale has been remastered to DVD quality standards on this two-disc set. "Sleeping Beauty" is formatted as a box set that is presented in full color with widescreen and full screen options. The DVD set is closed-captioned and meets NTSC standards. The animated movie is presented with multiple audio options including English and Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo). Bonus features include "Once Upon a Dream: The Making of Sleeping Beauty", "The Music: Singer Mary Costa Reminisces About the Film", and "The Restoration" among other content. The DVD program is rated G, has a run time of 75 minutes, and is released to video by Walt Disney Video.

    The shipping was very fast and arrived in only two days. Compared to other listings, this system had an excellent value and was both cheaper and very high quality. All the images shown were exactly as described when the system arrived. The packaging consisted of a lot of wrapping paper with bubble wrap, which was effective in keeping the console and the other items including the controller and cords safe.

    Old classic seen with new eyes: disappointing

    In my childhood, I was impressed by this animated feature, its scope and color (and self promotion). Now, though, to me it pales in comparison to Japanese animation and character portrayal.

    Sleeping Beauty DVD Kids feel so loved with movies from Disney.

    We had most of the videos and replacing them now. Thought it might be nice to have some of these Disney movies for the younger children who come to visit. You really enjoy these when you are young, and when you are doing dishes it is nice to have this kind of thing to keep young minds captivated. I really like Disney movies for the most part. They promote fun and imagination and are very entertaining. Kids feel loved with movies from Disney. We have great appreciation for Disney.

    GREAT COLLECTOR'S DVD

    This is the one I've been looking for. My granddaughter was 3 when this came out and she played the games on it all the time. It was a walk down memory lane for her. She's keeping it in her collection for future generations. It played perfectly. The order came quickly and went smoothly. LOVE IT!

    Sleeping Beauty had been my favorite DISNEY MOVIE!

    Sleeping Beauty is probably and easily every little girls favorite movie. I'm much older now and it brings back great memories of being little. So I finally bought the DVD and am glad that I did!
