Nolan's beautifully-crafted, flawed masterpiece
Visually speaking, this film is a five-goddamn-star meal. See the general relativity, spacetime, and extra dimensions depicted as never before in the history of cinema. The score provided by Zimmer & Friends is, as usual, extremely simplistic and atmospheric, but works extremely well in the movie, and is rather beautiful as underscore to boot. The main issues preventing this film from being hard sci-fi would naturally be all the pseudoscientific woo woo about love "transcending space and time", which is pure, unadulterated word salad, but it's almost unavoidable when attempting to marry science (science fiction no less) with a heartfelt story about the very human bonds between family, much like in Contact. This particular blu-ray is easily the best available version of the film, with all ... Visually speaking, this film is a five-goddamn-star meal. I got an interior shot of the (spoilers) tesseract within the black hole, and it looks pretty cool. So much more could be said about this film, but long story short, if you loved the movie, you owe it to yourself to get this version of the blu-ray set over the standard edition or Target's steelbook.

Outstanding feature film.
To anyone who has not seen this movie, but contemplating on viewing it, do not hesitate for it is definitely worth adding to your movie collection. I must say this the film has an awesome sound stage and deserves to be watched utilizing a surround sound system, those who do not have such will be really missing out on quite alot. I have a home theater screen is 82 inches, room is set up for movies only no cable box connected, two subwoofers, but only one is needed with this film, in certain scenes my jbl rattles the walls. Would be a waste to watch this film on a regular tv using the sets speakers. The film could be considered deep for some, those with some knowledge of quamtum physics would have a much better understanding of some of the dialog between the Nasa Astronauts betrayed by ... To anyone who has not seen this movie, but contemplating on viewing it, do not hesitate for it is definitely worth adding to your movie collection. So Powerful & Endlessly Beautiful
I admit I didn't truly appreciate 'Interstellar' on my first viewing. It was beautiful and intrigued me, but I was too lost in the story to see all of the gems this movie had to offer. The musical scores throughout the film are stunning, original, and are so well woven into the scenes. Not only are the compositions masterful, but the orchestra plays to perfection. When I think about the level of skill, imagination, and devotion it must take to write such scores, I am awestruck, listening to the tracks over and over again. The characters, including the wonderful acting from everyone involved, feel well fleshed out. Main characters have developed back stories and arcs that make them feel quite real. I can easily put myself into any of their shoes and understand what they were going through ... I admit I didn't truly appreciate 'Interstellar' on my first viewing. I can easily put myself into any of their shoes and understand what they were going through in a way few movies have. This caused me to analyze how I would have felt and reacted in so many different circumstances, including if I had to choose between dying with my family or leaving them forever to try to save them, or being on the other end as a regular citizen that could do very little. There are so many angles and lives to consider, with learning opportunities in human behavior, the psyche, and yourself that it's well worth the contemplation. Last but certainly not least are the visuals. Everything from the cinematography to the CGI effects are handled with such artistry and passion that it envelops you into this world with ease. You can almost feel the dust, the crops, the water, the barren landscapes on earth and alien planets. Space feels exceptionally real, matched only by 'Gravity,' making you respect it's beauty and dangers all the more. I implore you to watch this movie a few times, giving yourself the chance to absorb and analyze what you have experienced each time in between. Opening your ears, your eyes, and your emotions a little more with every viewing to understand all that 'Interstellar' has to offer and what you might learn about humanity and yourself.

Absolutely love it. Interstellar has always been my favourite movie, the extra features are super cool and show behind the scenes, science, and characters.

The movie included special features that were more inclusive than I expected. I was thrilled with this movie. To me, this movie was double the pleasure of any other movie because of all the content and the fact that the producers included factual information about space
