    Maybe My Expectations Were Too High

    Let me start by saying the vast majority of the population will disagree strongly with my opinion on this movie, but it IS my opinion.... I have heard and read so many wonderful reviews of this movie that I was really looking forward to watching it; it was one of the Christmas classics I didn't have in my collection, and I was expecting it to be a keeper. My mom watched it with me. We were both terribly disappointed. The movie is full of remarkable actors, but their performances were very unremarkable. It is a musical, yes, and I knew that (I love Sound of Music, and was expecting this to be on the same level), and the songs are OK, but other than White Christmas, even those weren't remarkable.     Replace missing DVD of a Christmas time favorite..

    This has always been a Christmas favorite of ours for many years. We have purchased this particular DVD twice before but for some reason (kids borrowing for their families to watch) they disappear. This one will not leave the house :)

    2 disc set, white jChristmas

    happy with DVD, unfortunately the second disc is many years out of date, and had no way of taking advantage of the download ( music ).That aside, the anniversary edition was a treat.
