What women go through to learn the Tora and great features.
Barbara plays the part of a male Rabbi because women cannot hold that position. She manages to get herself in a little bit of trouble. Funny, good music and just a darn good movie. I loved this one when I saw it a long time ago and was glad to find it on eBay. It will be different than the older VHS version of years past but still very good.

Don't miss this one if you're Streisand fan, a fan of great music, a fan of a beautiful time period.
The film is very realistic in that it takes you back to the time in Eastern Europe when women had so few freedoms. The sets are real, the photography is excellent. And the CASTING is exceptional, not to mention the beautiful score and songs as only Barbra can sing them.

Haven't watched this movie (musical) in many years but I've always loved Barbara's voice. The song "Papa can you hear me" is a beautiful song. Enjoy it with me.

Excellent image quality, audio and subtitles accessible. Entertainment at it's best!

Another Hit Movie
Barbara is always entertaining. She has a beautiful voice and fine acting abilities. Her movies are always engaging and delightful. "Yentl" is only one of many fine films.

Prepare to be uplifted!
I’ve loved this film for years and am glad to be able to see it again. Music is wonderful and of course that Streisand voice! I also like to see “the making of” sequences.

A lovely story presented with loving care and topped with brilliant acting. A HOME RUN !!
A story presented with proper direction care and studio perfection. care and emotion to touch each and every ones heart strings.
