Nice
Abu Garcia C3 or C4 Are the best reels on the market in my opinion. I have had some of mine for 20 years or longer. And they still work as good as ever. I fish both saltwater and freshwater and use both models in either environment. I do allocate reels for freshwater or saltwater use only. All my reels have needed is routine maintenance.

Excellent
Nothing beats a 6500 C3. You can work on them and fix them yourself. Maintenance is easy and many upgrades. They are awesome on their own but with the parts you can get and do everything yourself makes them that much better.

This was a fun project to complete, a small hand full of new parts and some clean up time, works like or even better than a new one. I would do it again.

"Simply the best"
I have used ABU Garcia reels for over 40 years. Don't waste your time and money looking for anything better. I use the 6500 for monster catfish and it works great!

Excellent Reliable Reel
This is my third 6500 reel. All three are still in service and functioning perfectly. Easy to disassemble and maintain. You can't go wrong if you purchase a C or C3 series.
