  • Fantastic option allowing players to run Dragon PC's! Minor rules tweaks required.

This product allows players to run Dragon PC's, or their bonded demi-human characters. It specifically states that the characters of these games cannot be integrated within a normal campaign, as playing the Dragons, and their bond servants, must be kept separate. It is a different type of power gaming, and it is therefore not compatible with a traditional campaign's characters. It expands on Dragons, considerably. It has character classes for Dragons, which are quite fun. There are combat proficiencies, as well as non-combat proficiencies, for Dragons -- this is 2e based rules, of course. The level advancement rules are broken, however, I plan to ignore the XP requirement, and just use the age requirements for a Dragon PC to advance a level, and an age category. Players are encouraged to play both their Dragon PC, and their bond servant PC, alternating between the two. This makes perfect sense. I find it exciting that the bond servant can use the magic items from the Dragon's hoard, as needed. This will allow play with more varied magic items, without destroying the game balance. The setting they offer, is quite good, and it will provide a ready-made, setting, and culture, for the Dragon PC's to exist within. Overall, it is a great product, which just needs some minor rules tweaking.
