Worth it
As always if you only need a tool once, it doesn't make sense to purchase the best of the best, however if you use the tool to make a living then it always pays to purchase the best tool you can afford. In the case of Snap-On prybars if you use them as intended they will last you several lifetimes. If you abuse them, as I often do they will still hold up and if they break, take them to your local Snap-on person or mail them in. I own the whole set and only managed to damage the longest one by having two people try to pry out a block of concrete, and then the bar only bent slightly. If you are going to beat on them with a hammer then opt for the newer style with a metal hammer cap on the top of the handle.
