AN IRRESISTIBLE TREAT
I remember watching this literally enthralled when it first aired on TV in 1975. Directed by the great George Cukor, written by Emmy Award-winning writer James Costigan, and above all starring two towering acting legends--Laurence Olivier and Katharine Hepburn--this production had quality written all over it. A suit for breach of promise brought against a rich widow, finds her defended by a barrister who had many years earlier fallen in love with her, but whom she--much to his chagrin--does not remember at all. It's a relatively light and sweetly sentimental comedy, but written and acted with marvelous wit and intelligence. I find it as irresistible a treat today as it was back then.

Perfectly fitting to the story
I have watched it several times and each time notice something I had missed before that enhanced the story, which at first is fairly confusing. Great acting by all parties.
