Very Satisfied with DVD
I was hooked when this series first came out on AMC, and I believe it's one of the best series to come out on TV. I'm so glad a purchased the DVD. A broody and engaging story of personalities under pressure and their eventual fates
This is a story directed by Ridley Scott who is one of our favorite directors. The atmosphere is brooding , moody and menacing. The framework is the true story of two sailing ships that were searching for a passage through the Arctic Circle as a shortcut for commercial shipping and were subsequently lost. Some characters are fictionalized but there is a good depiction of tension and conflicting agendas amongst the characters. A Supernatural Spin to a True Story That is Scary Enough Already!
