Not your typical Alice Through the Looking Glass story.
If you're expecting Alice being led around by the chess pieces Red and White Queen until she reaches the 8th file, you'll be disappointed. This sequel to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland bears little resemblence to Lewis Carroll's story yet it is excellently done and engaging. Alice (Mia Wasikowska) is escaping some people who have accused her of a crime and hides in the parlor of Hamish's estate and finds hersellf curiously drawn to a large looking glass (mirror) over the mantle. She explores it and finds it is a portal to Wonderland. She encounters her old friends? there including the Mad Hatter who is mourning the death of his family. Alice is coerced into helping him (You're not that Alice) and steals a time machine in order to change the past and prevent the death of the Hatter's family. She is surprised to find out that she herself has something to do with why the Red Queen is so rotten! This film has a very gripping soundtrack recorded by Danny Elfman and is a very entertaining and thrilling story. Pick up a copy and enjoy!

A pleasant, fun, funny at times, action packed fantasy adventure.

Alice
Enjoyable but a little busy for children. CG was somewhat overdone and in many cases not necessary. Overall it was pretty good.
