Digitizes VHS with only a little difficulty
This does exactly what I needed it for: turning old VHS tapes into DVD's. I was a little disappointed that I needed a remote to complete the process, but that was easily solved with a $10 bill and a trip to CVS. The DVD menus that this recorded creates are pretty basic and not terribly beautiful, but it gets the job done without much oversight. bad so far - zero star

Go with a proven device
I had another of the same model which was damaged trying to extract a bad tape. I knew it did what I needed and interfaced with my TV, so I selected it specifically.
