Similar to the series' earlier "Xtreme" follow-ups, Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme is a remake of 2005's Dynasty Warriors 5, enhanced with new maps and modes of play. Players can engage in "Destiny," "Xtreme," "Legend," and "Challenge" modes, and can fight across 18 new battlegrounds. The fifth edition in KOEI's popular Dynasty Warriors series boasts quantitative improvements over its predecessors -- more characters, larger maps, and deeper stories. Artificial intelligence has also been improved, to produce more efficient allies as well as more cunning opponents.

Dw3 and DW4 does have better character design though
The product I was looking for a long time. I heard this is the best Dynasty Warriors ever made in the series. The soldiers are not as vicious as DW3 though and Lu Bu is easy to kill on normal mode. Not complaining. Fair enough. I enjoyed Destiny Mode the most. They have two more modes too: extreme mode and legend mode. Pound for pound it does offer the most replay value, heck yeah 9.9/10!!!
