    Changing Tone

    This movie is important for more than one reason. Not only did it introduce King Ghidorah, one of Godzilla's major foes, but it also started a shift in tone for the series. For the first time, Godzilla does something for the sake of humanity when he and Rodan fight King Ghidorah to help the humans. The way it's done is smart too. Instead of just deciding that they're good in this one, they have the two monsters fighting and tearing up Japan, until Mothra convinces them to fight King Ghidorah. That's easier to believe, especially after Mothra defeated Godzilla in the previous film, so Godzilla would respect Mothra. The resulting fight with those three teamed up against King Ghidorah is one of the best fights of the series. The rest of the movie is decent. Aside from monster mayhem and ...

    Go go Godzilla

    One of the harder to find titles in the Godzilla series, and "new" copies are very expensive. Dvd worked great, happy with the addition to my collection

    Classic monster movie!

    A lot of the Toho movies are now classics and this is one of them. I also recommend War of the Gargantuas and Rodan, if you can get it, the original Godzilla is a good watch! I can watch these movies over-and-over again and the remind me of my childhood when they would be on t.v.on Saturday afternoon. So glad to get ahold of this to add to my collection!!!

    meteor crashes to earth, Ghidorah breaks out, Godzilla and Rodan are fighting until Mothra convinces them to fight together,

    Big fan of Godzilla movies, and I am really enjoying the special features that the distribution company is adding. A lot of behind the scenes regarding the directors, actors, the stories about the different releases in Japan and America. Am working on the whole collection!
