Created by Marc Silvestri and Michael Turner, "Witchblade - The Complete Series" is a fantasy and sci-fi show based on a comic book from Top Cow that follows Sara "Pez" Pezzini, a New York detective that comes face-to-face with a powerful living weapon. As the story progresses, Sara works to keep Witchblade a secret while she employs it to battle the evils of the world. This seven-disc set of "Witchblade - The Complete Series" contains all 24 episodes of seasons one and two of the fantasy series, as well as the made-for-TV movie version and hours of bonus features. "Witchblade - The Complete Series" won a Saturn award in 2002 for Best Actress and features Yancy Butler as Detective Pez, David Chokachi as Detective Jake McCartney, and Anthony Cistaro as Kenneth Irons. The seven-disc set has a total run time of 19 hours and 56 minutes, providing hours of entertainment. Also included on the DVD is Gabriel's (John Hensley) insight on several episodes, a special soundtrack, and more.

    Fast shipping, as described. Good price for a paperback. I only suggest that books be wrapped either in paper or bubble wrap when shipped in a mailing envelope. The shipping causes rubbing on cover and although the envelope was torn in shipment the book was intact.

    A piece of comic book history on screen

    I've been in love with this story since Top Cow launched the comic in the 90s. I had this set before but sadly I ended up selling it. The characters are colorful and engaging, wicked soundtrack throughout, and the cinematography is so cool...shots throughout like comic book panels come to life. Some of the CGI hasn't aged well by current standards, however, this doesn't faze me one bit. Again it's a live action presentation of a comic/graphic novel, and because of that and the often over the top nature of this type of media, it doesn't take away from the fun at all. You'll have to see it for yourself. I'm over the moon to have this back in my hands.

    thought provoking

    I love this series, and the idea behind it is fascinating; is time travel possible? Can one identity have multiple, chosen, lives by moving across time layers? The Blade, itself, is a classic token, found in many folktales. The show was well written, cast, and paced.

    This show is like 'Le Femme Nikita', 'Charmed,' 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' and 'Highlander' all put into one.
