Saskia Maarleveld is a seasoned narrator...Her voice was made to read stories. She gives a voice to each character, making them stand out. I was so enraptured in the story, the minutes flew by...I absolutely recommend this on audio., Natasha Boyd's writing is a delight to read. A MUST READ HISTORICAL FICTION
I have never been a fan of historical fiction so I was not excited when my book club chose this book. It is now one of my favorite books of all time. The story is very well written. My only regret? Will take you back in time..
The Indigo Girl will transport you to early America. Good and bad. There is some violence, slavery, which was sadly part of our history. She was a bright spot. Had no idea the history or importance of Indigo before reading this.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

The Indigo Girl - Excellent Hisorical Read
Enjoyed this fictionalized story based on historical person. My daughter and I enjoyed a trip to Charleston historic sites and heard about this person. I was impressed with the story the author was able to bring to life. We do not stop to think of people in relation to the time they lived in and the place they lived in until brought to appreciate those facts with a story such as this. Reading for my book club! It
