    The real “truth” about the relationship between husband and wife

    Love and respect are the key ingredients in a successful marriage, but they have different levels of importance to each of the partners. Both parties need both love and respect, but the author explores the deepest needs of each party in the relationship and the importance love and respect have to each. The book truly explains why love is not enough for one member of the relationship and that respect is not the most important to the the other member. An easy read with tremendous insights that can benefit any marriage.

    great biblical view of marriage

    this book is amazing and the group study that does with it is equally awesome. my husband and i still argue but we resolve it so much faster now that we better understand each other. i give this book with a personal letter to every couple that i know that is getting married. if you are a younger couple, their daughter joy eggerichs has a great young adult study that compliments and engages the next generation. it saves some people from the "if only i had known then what i know now" regret.

    True in Marriage and all relationships

    Dr Emerson Eggerichs has hit the nail on the head! The concepts of the Crazy Cycle, Love & Respect, the Energizing Cycle, and the Rewarded Cycle really work. They are based on Biblical concepts and evidence themselves completely when applied whole heartedly. Not only does he explain what the underlying problems are in most marriages, he gives great advice and tips on how to implement the truths in everyday life. The concepts here apply in other relationships as well. As leader in the workplace and the Church, I see how these concepts will unlock locked up potential!

    Great book to help with relationships

    This is a great book to help marriages. This has helped me and my husband understand one another so much better-even being over 60+!! and married for 49 years! I guess you are never too old to learn new things!!! All these years I struggled to make my husband understand how much I loved him, while all the time he needed my respect more than any thing else.
