Excellent Sound Decoder
I have been a HO scale model railroader for over ten years and I have tried many different kinds of sound decoders over the years. I have found Soundtraxx's Tsunami 2 decoders to be excellent in sound choices, sound quality, the sheer number of available functions which includes a easy to remap function system, excellent lighting affects (especially for LEDs) and light function mapping, high power rating, fits into almost all HO scale locomotives, MADE IN THE USA, speed motor control is excellent (I can run a locomotive at speed step 1 and easily speed match it to another with this decoder), and as a bonus Soundtraxx's customer service is very kind and they get back to me really quickly. Beautiful Sound Quality At a Great Price.
These SoundTraxx Sound decoders are just as good as the ESU LokSound decoders although these are specialised in North American model trains. I am using mine with a Hornby Class 60 and its better quality than the Hornby TTS decoders. You can add lights and there is 6 functions available. So adding LED's for cab lights and engine room lights will not be a problem. Just buy an 8 pin harness and you are good to go. Price is reasonable too and are on par with the ESU LokSound V5's. Nothing to dislike but you will need to be skilled in using a soldering iron unless you wanted to buy the 8 pin harness that plugs right into the model train. Oh can you can pick your favourite GE sounds by changing the settings. Please use an 8ohm speaker otherwise it will damage the unit. 5/5.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
