The game's mission structure is designed on the tactical campaigns that vied for superiority in the sky through later stages of World War II. The game features a flexible storyline that develops according to players' progress. Great success -- or unexpected failure -- can change the course of events, leading to an alternate history determined by the player's decisions and actions.<br><br>Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 offers 18 flyable craft, including bombers and early jet fighter models. A customizable graphics engine is designed to produce smooth graphics in great detail. Multiplayer games are supported over the Internet or a local network, allowing both head-to-head dogfights and cooperative missions.

    The Last MS combat flight game. Neither horrible nor great, but has force feedback and many planes to fly.

    This game will still fly on Win 7, and using an old MS sidewinder 2, you can still play it with force feedback. Although i'v seen worse games, Most of this game seems like an afterthought, The aircraft are diverse, you can fly a JU88 and an ME262 as well, the controls can be set how you want easily, and you have choice of fighter or bomber missions. MS combat flight 1 was the best 2 was not bad (my favorite part is landing on the carrier) and this one is a logical progression from those. The graphics are a bit crude compared to today but that's to be expected. Anyhow if you like flyiing games this would not be a bad choice, I just wouldn't pay over $30 tops.

    Even though this CFS3 game is 22+ years...

    Even though this CFS3 game is 22+ years old,,it has always been the gold standard to base all future WWII flying games off of,, even being PC or console .. It will also install & run on Windows 11,, with the ''no CD ''patch & v3.1 upgrades.. It runs super smooth also,, & you can bump graphics ''all the way up'',, with windows 10 &11 PC's,, like no problem. The ''Aircraft'' graphics bumped 100%,, look ''still better'',, than ones on some console games,, 15+ years later !!

    Worked with Windows 10

    This installed on my Windows 10 computer with no problems and no extra steps required. I had CFS 1 and 2 and they would not work at all. CFS 3 is different than the first two, so it takes some time to learn. The flying is more realistic, so more difficult to get use to, but the graphis are also better.

    Almost not worth buying.

    I bought this really cheap on eBay after I saw a site offering an add-on pack, so I thought it must be a half way decent game. Especially considering it was only released back in like 2009 I think. Figured it might be like the other Microsoft sim stuff. It really isn't. Still might mess with it a bit though.

    I expected this to be like the original microsoft flight combat simulater. NOT even close!

    Sorry i wasted my money. I was expecting it to be like original WWII microsoft combat flight simulator! NOT even close. Limited planes, no hurricane even. Directed missions , hard to change planes on missions. all around just 10% of original. But if you didn't have the wonderful experience of that original simulater, it might work for you. You will never know what you missed. BRING IT BACK MICROSOFT!! BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL THAT WILL WORK IN NEW COMPUTERS! PLEASE, I'M BEGGIN' YOU!
