Great Book that answer many doubts..
I have bought several of these to give to those who have questions about the validity of the Bible and Jesus. It is one of the best books you can find to deal with biblical questions. It is well documented with many citations.

Excellent Reference Book for Classical Historical Apologetics
Please remember that "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" is a product of its time. Don't expect it to respond to current challenges to historical Christianity. It also will not address the question of God's existence. That said, it is a great tool for understanding the classical case for the truth of Christianity via history. Josh McDowell shows he has done his homework. The book presents a convincing, albeit lengthy, case for Christianity.

Big Book lots of evidence
The title implies that the evidence is new. Some is. This was originally two books and The New book is both books in one cover. This is pages and pages of compelling argument that Jesus was/is real, the Bible has not changed, and that many witnesses of Jesus went to their deaths willingly and endured terrible persecution happily. If you have any doubt that Jesus was God incarnate, then you should get one of these books and study it. This is too important a decision to not take it serious.

The best layman's guide to Christian witness
If you are a believer interested in fulfilling the Great Commission, but lack a divinity degree or preaching skills, McDowell's "New Evidence" is a superb tool. As an apologetic, it provides both the questions and answers needed to explain and defend the Christian faith. And it does so convincingly, enthusiastically, in plain English.

glad I bought it.
A lot to take in. Some difficult reading, but so thorough. Many people would not make it halfway through, due somewhat to the format/layout. An excellent reference book for me.

Awesome Book!
I bought this for a friend who happens to be an agnostic. I read it many years ago and it will build your faith. Excellent book! Should be a textbook in every seminary.

An old standard
Where'd you first hear the bible is the proven ancient documents that beat the Iliad and other greek crap. Would be 'lost' without this one.
