    Still seems pretty good, but might be nostalgia.

    I had loved this back as a 11 year old on TV, still pretty decent although the pacing seems a bit unbalanced when watched as a single 3 hour movie, as opposed to the TV miniseries as I remember it. I think another hour of the last 1/3 would have improved it - seems rushed compared to the pacing of the first 2/3. The blu ray is nice quality, very grainy but better quality than I'd think for a 1979 TV show. My son of 9 was pretty scared by it though, so I guess it still holds up.

    Still one of the best vampire movies!

    Remember seeing this as a child and loved the movie. The vampire wasn’t the usual Bela Lugosi or Christopher Lee caped version and that stood out and still does these many years later. The effects and scenery were excellent as was the story/writing (Stephen King in his prime). Would highly recommend!

    Wanted this for awhile

    Tobe Hooper was such a great filmmaker and this is still scary and more frightening than anything filled with CGI. Wonderful atmosphere. Great cast, too. I was 10 when this came out and the Blu-ray is great quality and I really enjoyed the Director's commentary. The price was great! Happy to own it.

    a great adaptation of a classic novel.

    This movie is complete here. It's not edited and it looks the best I have ever seen it. The original miniseries was a classic and this puts it all together. They did a fine job on this show , and it is a creepy and well made effort that has lots of the good parts of the book in it. The acting was very good and it will entertain you. I don't think a remake could do this any better! The blu ray is not expensive and it's worth it to own as well.

    Salem's lot blu ray

    Very good movie one of my favorite Stephen King movies!!! Little disappointed that the blu ray version is not full screen both left and right sides are cut off :( but still a good buy:)
