If you like British humour, this is a good series. It is innocent with a lot of funny and strange, to an American, sexual innuendos. The characters are definitely engaging. Without each quirky individual, the story would be incomplete. Together, they offer a glimpse into what English country village life might be like.
The Vicar of Dibley-Immaculate Collection-Must See If You Enjoy Off-Beat Humor
Great series, though I wish Close Captions were an option. I am hard of hearing and at times when the conversations taper off I have trouble understand SOME of the dialog. The characters are very endearing. Dawn French as the Vicar with a hearty appetite for chocolate and the adorable Emma Chambers as Alice, the Vicar's Assistant, a kooky naive, child-like, blonde reminiscent of the Laugh-In's Goldie Hawn.
Great Show I am a British Comedy buff, and Vicar of Dibley is a great example of the more country life and shows the Church of England in all of its glory
