Another great Mick Herron book
Another great book in Mick Herron's series. Mick Herron has a great writing style -- a compelling way of moving the action combined with a dry sense of humor. Plus a set of characters with a set of flaws that we can both laugh at and identify with as we cheer them on. This book has a sense of interoffice politics gone bad as can only happen in a intelligence setting. And a rare sense of payback and finality that satisfies the reader. The best yet - emensely entertaining, especially for veteran spooks active or retired.
Even more enjoyable if you have been reading the series from the beginning. The quirky "slough house" team's interaction with "bad actors" within their own service as well as foreign threats plays out with well-crafted scenarios and artful revelations of plot lines and character entanglements.
